Former Makerere university vice chancellor Prof Venansius Baryamureeba has protested the election of Professor Barnabas Nawangwe as the new university vice chancellor

Makerere University Council yesterday voted Professor Nawangwe to become the new Makerere University Vice Chancellor

Professor Baryamureeba, who was among the four contestants for the post claims he has overwhelming evidence to prove that the search committee report that was used as a basis for the Senate and council decisions to is a total sham.

Baryamureeba pins Hon Thomas Tayebwa, a member of Council of having been behind the scam accusing him of having vested personal interests in race calling on council to investigate.

Speaking to Kfm Hon Tayeebwa has however dismissed the allegation describing them as baseless
