Head of Anti corruption highligts need for public to report corruption
The Head of the Anti-corruption Court Division Justice Lawrence Gidudu has emphasized the need to set up a mechanism through which the public can report cases of corruption.
According to Justice Gidudu, the public has failed to identify and report corruption suspects due to the absence of such a mechanism.
He argues that in most cases, when money is stolen by government officials, they make investments that cannot be traced back to them.
He thus says that the society has to be empowered to shame corrupt individuals and have them brought to book.
His remarks come ahead of the international corruption day which is slated for Friday this week.
