The Women Fertility Hospital Ltd Bukoto has dragged Stanbic Bank Ug Ltd to commercial court demanding to recover 227.3 million shillings that was illegally chopped from its account.

Through its lawyers of Nyanzi Kiboneka and Mbabazi Advocates the hospital claims that on 11 March 2011 it obtained a loan of 1.3 billion shilling which was repayable in installments of 46.6 million shillings for 36 months.

However, during payment the bank removed from the hospital’s account much money (227m) which was in excess of the agreed monthly installment.

The hospital now wants Court to compel the bank to refund its money with interest of 25 per cent and cost of the suit.
