The government is asked to invest more in the water and sanitation sector.
The appeal is made by the country director International water and Sanitation Research Centre Ms. Jane Nabunya Mulumba.
Speaking at a media workshop in Bugolobi, Nabunnya said the 3 % budget allocation to the sector is inadequate and cannot enable the country attain the desired access to safe water and sanitation.
Currently a total of about 10 M Ugandans have no access to clean and safe water with an average of 69% access across the country.
