MOH in a bid to eliminate AIDS deaths

The medical care provided to TASO clients focuses on prompt and proper diagnosis and treatment of opportunistic infections. Systems have been put in place to manage opportunistic infections such as septrine prophylaxis and safe water vessel which are provided to clients.

HIV-AIDS remains the leading cause of death among adolescents in Uganda and the second globally according to the ministry of health.

The ministry indicates that in 2014 alone 2.6million children were living with HIV/AIDS and 78% of adolescents between 10-24years were battling the virus.
