Tension is high at Hoima Regional Referral Hospital in Hoima district following reports of an alleged outbreak of Ebola.
This follows the mysterious death of a Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom royal guard after developing Ebola-like symptoms.
The deceased, identified as Jackson Byamaka, a UPDF warrant officer II was attacked by a mysteries illness a few days after he returned from Bombo army barracks where he had gone for training.
Dr. Patrick Mwebaza, a senior hospital administrator at Hoima referral hospital has confirmed Byamaka’s death, saying two other patients including the deceased’s wife have been admitted in an isolation ward at regional hospital.
