The professional standards unit is set to commence investigation into behaviors crime preventers who have always center been the center of complaints from general public.

Currently, the Uganda police have auxiliary force of crime preventers amounting to 11 million people who are ordinarily meant to avail intelligence information to the main stream police.

Speaking to kfm, Vicent Ssekate the spokesperson professional standards unit said that in their outreach program they have discovered that many crime preventers have lost track and needs to be realigned.

He said that they are now listening to all complaint against crime preventers and uniformed officers in line with the police cleanup campaign.
