Government has warned the Management of Makerere University against dragging students who have met graduation requirements into disagreements with Makerere University Business School.
This is after Makerere University vowed not to receive the graduation list of over 4,000 students of MUBs over the alleged failure by its management to remit functional fees amounting to Shs4bn.
Speaking to KFM, the state minister for higher education John Cryzestom Muyingo says government will not allow students who are meant to graduate in February to be held back by what he calls games played by the two institutions.
Makerere University Bursar, Augustine Tamale says MUBS students will not graduate if the said money is not deposited on the University Council bank account as soon as possible.
However, MUBS the spokesperson Peter Odoki insists that they do not owe Makerere University any money.
