According to the country director for the African Fertilizer and Agro-business partnership organization Joel Kakaire, this will save farmers from incurring losses they are facing as a result of buying fake agro-inputs.

He also asked the government to empower the Uganda National Agro-input dealers association to regulate themselves and in the process, they will be able to take action against their members engaging in such acts derailing the farmer’s efforts.

He says the escalating influx of counterfeit agro-inputs including Pesticides, Acaricides, Fertilizers, Seeds, Vaccines among others enter the Market through both Certified and uncertified Suppliers which is directly affecting the National Economy.
