By yesterday, over 154,000 people had received Shs 100,000, bringing the total amount paid out so far to Shs 15.7bn.

According to the Prime Minister, Robinah Nabbanja so far data for 400,000 out of the targeted 500,000 people has been submitted by various municipalities and cities but is yet to be entered into the payment system.

This means that over 346,000 vulnerable people are yet to receive their money, two weeks down the road.

Now according to Alexander Kwokwijuka, a personal finance management coach and consultant, the disbursement processes would have been faster had the lists of beneficiaries been managed better.
