Justice Henrietta Wolayo has ordered that since grass root elections are in advanced stages, the balance of convenience favors the completion of the electoral cycle with holding presidential elections.

The judge’s orders follow an application filed by three FUFA fans led by Edwin Bazanye who wanted the elections halted on grounds that their  case challenging the FUFA electoral laws and guidelines issued by the National council of sports will be rendered useless since they will have to wait for another  four years for the  presidential term to elapse.

The fans had also challenged the fact that the current president Moses Magogo is running unopposed.

However in her ruling, Justice Wolayo declined to agree with the trio and explained that the elected candidates can always be thrown out of office if court finds out there was an irregularity in the process.

She then ordered Bazanye and his co-plaintiffs to pay costs of this application for recklessly dragging to court the respondents including FUFA president Moses Magogo, Edgar Watson and the National Council of sports
