IGP To Re-introduce Speed Governors To Curb Accidents

The police chief Gen Kale Kayihura says they are to re-introduce speed governors in vehicles to reduce road accidents.

He was addressing mourners at a requiem service held at St John’s Parish church Entebbe in honor of Doreen Tashobya.

According to police’s deputy spokesperson Polly Namaye, the two were riding on a motor bike when they were crashed by a truck.

The motorcycle they were riding, Reg no. UDS 502N Bajaj boxer collided with an Isuzu Truck Reg UAP 872J that was carrying sand.

Namaye says police are hunting for the driver of the Isuzu truck who is on the run.

The truck and the motorcycle have been towed to Entebbe Police Station for inspection.
