This comes as tension rises amongst various stakeholders especially leaders from Central Buganda following reports of a plan by government to extend Kampala city boundaries to incorporate the surrounding districts of Mukono, Mpigi and Wakiso.

The matter resulted in a recent clash between the minister without Portfolio Alhajji Abdul Nadduli and the Minister for Kampala Betty Kamya.

Speaking to KFM Dr. Fred Muhumuza, a renowned development economists says such a plan could be a plot to grab land.

Kampala minister Beti Kamya has however described as “mere propaganda” suggestions that the government is in the process of altering Kampala City boundaries.
