The Katikkiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiiga says that the restoration of the Kasubi tombs has been delayed by insufficient funds.

Meeting clan heads at Bulange Mengo, the Katikkiro says  there is a comprehensive plan to restore all tombs including those in Kasubi which is expected to be completed  come next year but the project has derailed because of the limited funds and cultural norms to be followed.
