Kayihura boasts of reducing crime rate despite political upheavals

The former inspector of police Gen Kale Kayihura has boasted of reducing the crime rate in the country despite political upheavals that have mulled his 12 year tenure.

Speaking during the handover ceremony yesterday, Gen Kayihura said that since 2005 he was welcomed by the return Dr Col Kiiza Besigye from exile, followed by other events like the walk to work and, Mabira demonstrations among others.

He said that despite all these challenging moments, he remained focused and been able to reduce the crime rate as well as stabilizing security.
