The team led by commissioners Fredrick Ruhindi and Robert Sebunya say their visit to Lyantonde follows a number of land grabbing complaints filed before the commission by the area residents.

The commission intends to find the individuals involved in the complaints and the role of the Resident District Commissioners and the Uganda Land Commission in resolving these matters.

The commission has evidence that land grabbing in Lyantonde is perpetrated by powerful government officials who are yet to be shamed.

The commission will during this week also visit districts of; Masaka, Sembabule, Gomba, Iganga,Tororo, Butaleja, Gulu,Lira ,Masindi and Kiryandongo to investigate land issues.
