Outgoing Soroti Member of Parliament, Capt. Mike Mukula has joined the list of those vying for party leadership positions.
Mukula has today picked forms to contest for the post of chairperson eastern region in the ruling National Resistance Movement party.
Addressing the media after picking the forms, Mukula said that all he wants is to keep the NRM candle burning in the Eastern region.
He said that he was happy to have been part of the team that brought peace to the eastern region during the arrow boys’ saga, promising to continue preserving this.
At the beginning of the year, Mukula announced that he would not contest for the Soroti Municipality seat after serving for 20 years in the same positon.
