Kawempe South Member of Parliament Mubarak Munyagwa  has been released from the civil prison where he was committed 2 weeks ago for failing to pay 100 million shillings to a one John Baptist Maali.

This is after Munyagwa made a down payment of 15 million shillings to Maali and promised to have the rest of the money paid by 2nd ,August 2017.

The payment agreement between Munyagwa and Maali has been signed by Justice Anglin Ssenoga the head of the Execution Division of the High Court.

Munyagwa was on 10th/April 2017 arrested and taken to Court by Kyalula Edward Aipha Court bailiffs and sent to prison by the Registrar in-charge of the Execution Division Flavia Nassuna.

The legislator is said to have failed to vacate a piece of land located Kyadondo Block 205, Plot  509 in Kawempe measuring 0.316 hectares which he sold to Maali in 2015 or refund his money.
