The Forum for Democratic Change president Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu has blamed the party’s failure to send its members to the East African Legislative Assembly on the dishonesty of the ruling National Resistance Movement party.

Muntu says the NRM could have settled for the six slots and left the three for the opposition, but the ruling party MPs pushed for open elections to kick FDC out intentionally.

He adds that with just 36 out of over 400 members, the party’s numerical weakness also worked against it.

Muntu however says this will not derail them from their ultimate good of regime change.
