Justice Elizabeth Kabanda will preside over Nyanzi’s bail application.

However Buganda Road Court has heard that while in detention at Luzira women’s prison, Dr. Nyanzi has been barred from reading any other written literature apart from the Holy bible.

Nyanzi’s lawyer Nicholas Opio has complained to presiding Chief Magistrate James Ereemye that his client is being subjected to discriminatory treatment to the extent that she has been restricted to have hand written notes, books and or to have a private lawyer- client discussion.

In reply Resident state Attorney Jonathan Muwaganya said that prison is a regulatory facility things such as literature for inmates are censored.

It’s against this background that magistrate Ereemye ruled that he cannot pass judgment against prison authorities who are competent enough to do their work adding that since the concern has been raised, court should now await their feedback.

Nyanzi is facing charges of computer misuse and offensive communication for allegedly posting offensive communication that demeans the president.
