Over 50,000 nurses, midwives sit for exams today

About 53,000 nurses and midwives today begin writing their examinations across the country.

In a press statement, the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Examinations Board Secretary, Helen Mukakarisa says the candidates will sit for the exams from 120 centres.

The examinations slated to last for two weeks will see learners sit for various programs at both certificate and diploma levels.

The board has also hired over 2,000 examiners to monitor and conduct the exercise.
