Rwandans living in Uganda have turned up in big numbers to vote for the president of their choice at the Rwanda High commission at Nakayima road in Kitante ahead of the general polls tomorrow.

Voters have come from all corners of the country with some arriving as early as 3 am in the morning.

Addressing journalists the Rwanda Ambassador to Uganda Maj Gen Frank Mugambage expressed excitement that many Rwandans had responded to take part in this exercise.

“As you can see Rwandans have come very early to exercise their right and the process started on time and is going on very well”, Amb.Mugambage said on Thursday morning.

The Uganda police are manning the security at the high commission to ensure the process moves on smoothly

In the race are three candidates; incumbent Paul Kagame of the RPF, Frank Habineza from the Green Party of Rwanda and Philip Mpayimana an independent candidate.
