State prosecutors have agreed to call off their strike.
This followed a unanimous vote held during a meeting that held in Kampala this afternoon.
According to Uganda Prosecutor’s Association chairman David Baxter Bakibinga 145 out of 171 state prosecutors decided to suspend their industrial action, after being convinced that government was committed to address their concerns.
According to Bakibinga, all state prosecutors stationed in Kampala, Wakiso, and Mukono and other neighboring districts are expected to start work starting tomorrow.
Prosecutors went on strike on 10th October 2017 over low salaries among other concerns.
