Taxi driver Sulaiman Batte was a bag of joy when it was broken to him, on phone, that he is the seventh lucky winner of a fully sponsored trip to the Dubai Desert Challenge later in the year.

The paid trip to the prestigious and gruelling motorsport competition is a preserve of City Oil customers that do service at any of their branches. The company holds a monthly draw, where they pick three winners including one from among their taxi driving customers.

The aim is to get 18 lucky winners and half of those have already been confirmed.

“I am very happy for the opportunity to learn more in Dubai,” Batte said when he arrived, from a meeting at his stage in the New Taxi Park, at Namirembe Road branch to get his win details.

“City Oil have great customer care and their service is really good. In fact, they teach us a lot when we take our cars there,” he added.

At the draw, three were picked including drive-in category members Rosette Asiimwe and Hajati Kakande who serviced their cars at Nakawa and Bombo Road branches respectively, to add to the six that were chosen earlier in the year.
