The police have defended their beating of journalists and vowed to continue.

Addressing the media this morning the Inspector General of Police Martin Okoth Ochola said the force would not apologize for past incidents where some journalists were beaten by security personnel.

He blamed such incidences on journalists who fail to adhere to orders given by the officers

Ochola added that the beating of the journalists is done for their own good and safety and as such will continue.
