The police has warned the opposition Forum for Democratic Change against what it calls unlawful meetings being conducted in different parts of the country.

In a press statement issued to the media this evening, the police spokesperson Asan Kasingye says the former FDC presidential Candidate Dr Kiiza Besigye and other senior party members have today held an unlawful meeting in Kyankwanzi just like they have previously done in other areas.

He adds that although the police chief has advised the FDC leaders to comply with the law; they have deliberately ignored him, warning that serious action shall be taken against them.

Meanwhile, FDC officials have vowed to continue with what they call consultative meetings saying they are only meant to seek views of grass root party leaders on the current political crisis and social injustices.
