Scores trapped in collapsed building in Mukono

An unspecified number of people is feared after a building collapsed in Mukono town.

According to an eye witness it’s not clear how many people are still trapped in the debris.

The walls of the building that houses several businesses including the popular Shades Bar are said to have given way this morning.

The chief Fire officer Joseph Mugisa has confirmed the incident saying a team of rescue officer has already been sent to the scene of the accident.

Mukono Municipality Member of Parliament Betty Nambooze says atleast 10 people have so far been evacuated.
