Local musician Patrick Mulwana, commonly known as Alien Skin, was again charged before the Makindye Chief Magistrates Court on November 25, 2024, and remanded to Luzira prison.

Alien Skin was brought before Chief Magistrate Esther Adikin by prison authorities to enter a plea on charges of assault against doctors at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya.

He is charged alongside his private bodyguard, Julius Mugabi, with causing grievous harm to the doctors.

Additionally, Alien Skin faces a separate charge of robbery for stealing a mobile phone worth Shs3.5 million and Shs480,000 from Salim Mubiru. He was charged with this offense on November 14, 2024, and has been in prison since then.

Both Alien Skin and Mugabi pleaded not guilty to the assault charges.

The court heard that on November 19, 2024, Mugabi, Alien Skin, and others still at large unlawfully caused grievous harm to Doctors Zaidi Matovu, Alex Odongo, and Anthony Munyanda at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya in Makindye Division.

Alien Skin applied for bail, presenting three sureties, including his mother, Nanyanzi Juliet.

However, the prosecution objected to their release on bail, arguing that Alien Skin, as the leader of the Fangone Entertainment crew, might interfere with the arrest of 18 other individuals still at large. The prosecution also stated that investigations into the incident are ongoing.

The duo’s troubles began when they rushed their colleague, Joram Tumwesigye, who had been involved in a car accident, to Nsambya Hospital. Allegedly, the doctors neglected Tumwesigye, prompting a chaotic response from members of the Fangone crew.

The two were remanded to Luzira prison until Thursday, November 28, 2024, when a ruling on their bail application will be made.
