Ugandan voters have been asked to choose candidates for political leadership positions based on issues and not bribes.
Launching the Topowa Honor Your Vote Multimedia Campaign 2016, at Hotel Africana in Kampala, the Electoral Commission Vice Chairperson Joseph Biribonwa said that many people are driven by minor things leading to election of bad leaders.
He applauded civil society organizations for spearheading a sensitization campaign to help voters make informed decisions.
The Campaign spearheaded by the Citizens’ Coalition for Electoral Democracy in Uganda is a build up from the previous one dubbed Vote Issues not Wolokoso in 2011.
The event was attended various members of the civil society, religious leaders under the Inter Religious Council of Uganda and the general public.
