Experts predict heavy rains in September

Reporter | August 29, 2013

Heavy rains

Weather experts have predicted above normal and near normal rains beginning September up to December this year.

Based on scientific research carried out this month, the department of meteorology in the ministry of water and environment say floods are likely to hit some parts of the country, including dusty winds, lightening in most parts of the country, Kampala and other urban centers inclusive.

Commissioner Michael Nkalubo says the central region is likely to face near normal rains, while the Eastern and Northern are expected to receive above normal rains.
