Fire Destroys Jinja School
Fire has gutted Victoria Nile Primary School in Jinja Municipality destroying property worth millions of shillings.
According to the police, the fire started from the staff quarters where a short-circuit is suspected to have occurred and spread to the main hall.
The Kiira region police spokesperson Sasmson Lubega said police fire brigade arrived at the scene in time to prevent the fire from spreading further.
He says the cause of the fire out break is not yet clear but it is suspected that there was a shot ciruit from power at the destroyed house.
Mr. Lubega says no deaths or injuries were reported.
