The Police in Old Kampala are holding a 40 year old man who was led his family in a protest at Kafumbe Mukasa Road.

The man identified as Salongo Serunyigo Namuyayu has been arrested along with his three children aged 3, 6 and 9 respectively.

Serunyigo was holding placards reading “Museveni must go” claiming that they had been written by his ancestral spirits.

Clad in white attire, Serunyigo and his children were all walking barefoot.

At the time of his arrest, the man was heading to the Constitutional Square where he was to hold another demonstration.

He was also found with documents indicating that he had been corresponding with State House over the issue of transition of power.

The DPC old Kampala police Julius Gobolo has confirmed the incident saying they are investigating that matter and a medical team is yet to establish the suspect’s mental status.
