Police is carrying out Boda Boda registration on commercial cyclists across the country using National ID data, a move said to be aiming at tightening security.

However the ongoing exercise is questionable whether information will be kept confidential not to end up in the hands of wrong people within the force.

In Mukono, Boda Boda cyclists are concerned that their data may be used in criminal activities, therefore demanding for an assurance before they embrace the exercise.
Mukono Central division Boda chairman Moses Musasizi during a meeting with police, has challenged how the exercise is being handled in Mukono with loopholes.

However Mukono District Police Commander Rogers Sseguya says the exercise is well handled, with their data into right hands.
He says this is a security matter handled by police that is why politicians were left behind.
