Low voter turn up for the Wakiso District LC5 elections

The message comes from the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) 2 days to the May 19th deadline.

Speaking to KFM the commission’s head of the legal department Abdu Salam Waiswa says members of the public who are yet to get their National Identification Numbers should endure the long queues and complete the process.

Waiswa says members of the public should not expect a deadline extension as earlier emphasized by the security minister Lt Gen Henry Tumukunde and the UCC chief Godfrey Mutabaazi.
