The Police has issued stringent standing orders to all police commanders on how to ensure their safety at work.
The move followed four incidents in which two officers were ambushed and killed with 2 guns with sixty rounds of ammunition stolen.
The police spokesperson Fred Enanga says these cases are currently being treated as robbery, murder and attempted murder as investigations continue.
He advises all commanders to use troop carriers for dropping off officers to work stations or during patrols and to always wear bullet proofs while on duty.
The Flying Squad and Special Police Unit have been asked to urgently follow up the matter.
