Uganda police has agreed to start working with police to ensure safety of KCCA law enforcement team as they execute their work.

The development followed the controversial death of a woman hawker who was allegedly chased by KCCA enforcement team generating public outcry.

In a meeting held today at the office of the Prime minister between the Kampala metropolitan police commander Frank Mwesigwa and the kampala minister Betty Kamya, both agreed that police intervention is needed to bring sanity in enforcement work.

Mwesigwa said that as police they are ready to offer police backing to law enforcers to ensure their safety.

The minister for Kampala Betty kamya said that soon the enforcement team will be back on the street
