Uganda risks losing the right to protection of its spectrum if it does not fully migrate from analogue to digital broadcasting by the end of August.

Uganda complied with the ITU International deadline of 17th June but just a few television viewers have been able to purchase the set top boxes required for the switch.
From the government perspective, there are still challenges regarding level of awareness and financial constraints that are yet to be addressed.
