National Forestry Authority has evicted over 1000 locals who have been residing at Omyer Forest Reserve.
The eviction has left some of the families stranded with no alternative land for relocation.
The eviction follows a case that was filed by communities against NFA stopping their eviction with the latter won.
One of those evicted, Joyce Acanda, said the future of their children in schools will end since cultivation has been the source of their school fees.
The eviction and encroachment specialist officer, Jimmy Ouma, says the houses have to be demolished to allow the encroachers leave the forest reserve for their activities.
He adds that NFA became hostile to the communities after the people failed to quit the forest reserve peacefully since 2003.
