Police issue traffic diversion ahead of NRM delegates Conference

The Police have issued a traffic flow plan to cater for the National Resistance Movement (NRM) National delegates Conference that started running on August 18th -28th at Kololo ceremonial grounds.
The event is part of the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, the second in a series of high-level engagement, where the party will elect its NEC members.
In anticipation of the large influx of delegates, the Directorate of Traffic and Road Safety has announced several significant traffic diversions to ensure smooth traffic flow and enhanced security during the event.
Speaking during the weekly security briefing at Naguru police headquarters, the Traffic and road safety spokesperson Micheal Kananura explained that the restricted roads or cut-off points only to be accessed by the VVIPS are Lower Kololo and Upper Kololo Terrace.
“ Upper Kololo terrace , there is going to be a cut off of vehicles from Lugogo , at Wampewo avenue the road is going to be closed at Housing Finance Bank and Kololo traffic lights . The parking arrangements are the VVIPs are going to have access through the Eastern gate via Wampewo Avenue and park inside Kololo ceremonial grounds, “ Kananura noted .
