The Uganda Police Force is set to restructure its training course to emphasize practical skills.

The move comes as the force reviews its training programs to effectively fight organized crime.

While commissioning a week long investigation course on Narcotics at Forensic Laboratory today, the director training Andrew Felix Kaweesi said that this will equip investigating officers with practical skills.

He explained that the training will go a long way in sensitizing officers on the newly passed Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Control) Bill, 2007.
