Migingo

The tension between Uganda and Kenya over Migongo Island is far from over.

A row has broken out between the Ugandan and Kenyan residents with each side accusing one other of stealing boat engines.

Earlier, the group from the Kenyan side exchanged fire with the Uganda police on after they attacked demanding for their stolen engine.

The RDC Namayingo Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka says that he has already sent the DPC Namayingo to secure Migingo islands as further dialogue is pursued.

Migingo Islands have always been appointed of contention between Uganda and Kenya with both countries claiming its ownership.
