15-year old juvenile to be committed to High Court over allegations of homosexuality cases .

Buganda Road Magistrates Court has directed prosecution to speed up its investigations into a case involving a 15-year old boy, accused of sodomizing a three year-old and commit him to the High Court for trial.

The presiding magistrate Ronald Kayizzi, has adjourned the case until September 3rd, 2025 for committal proceedings.

The juvenile offender, a resident of Kisota Butikirwa Zone Nakawa Division in Kampala District, is charged with aggravated homosexuality.

Prosecution states that on September 13th 2024 at Kisota Butikirwa Zone in Kampala District, the juvenile offender performed a sexual act with a neighbour’s 3-year old son against the order of nature.

The Anti-Homosexuality Act 2023 prohibits any form of sexual relations between persons of the same sex; the promotion or recognition of sexual relations between persons of the same sex; and recruitment, of a child for purposes of engaging the child in homosexuality or any other conduct prohibited under this Act .
