A court hearing for Dr. Kizza Besigye and Hajji Obedi Lutale was disrupted when the judge forgot to sign a production warrant to bring them to court.

Lawyers Martha Karua and Elias Lukwago expressed frustration over systemic delays and judicial negligence.

However, after a meeting with the acting principle Judge Jane Kajuga Okuo and the head of the criminal Division of the High court Justice David Matovu, the legal team resolved to have another date fixed for the hearing to take place.

The lawyers found it appalling that a critical matter was sidelined due to the judge’s forgetfulness.
