Byekwaso brings silver home

The Uganda body building community is ecstatic after one of its own clinched silver at the World Body Building Championship in Slovakia.

Ivan Byekwaso, who is the current holder of the Mr. Uganda belt, won silver at the championships held in Nitra city.

Byekwaso’s manager, Kamal Sabuni says Byekwaso’s performance is a major boost for Uganda and the region, revealing that the body builder has been invited to attend the prestigious International Mr Olympia championships held annually in the U.S in November.

Byekwaso’s journey to Slovakia had earlier been in balance due to lack of funds however President Yoweri Museveni gave him about 8 million to travel for the competition.
