The High Court in Kampala has set May 25th to rule on whether or not to block the reading of 2014/2015 national budget.
Kalungu West MP Joseph Sewungu filed an application before the High Court seeking to block the reading of the 2014/ 2015 budget.
Ssewungu sued the Attorney General and has asked Court to halt the reading of the new financial year’s budget, after the government proposed a reduction in capitation grants to UPE schools.
The case is before the High Court Assistant Registrar Eleanor Mary Khainza.
