Foreigners in Uganda without national ID will be treated as terrorists – Gen Aronda

Karamoja: Uganda is out of bounds to foreigners who do not have identity cards for their home countries.

This is according to internal affairs minister Gen Aronda Nyakairima who made the remarks while launching the distribution of National identity cards distribution for Karamoja region in Moroto.

He said any visitor who travels to Uganda without their country national identity card will be treated as a terrorist.

Gen. Aronda further assured the public that the national identity card of Uganda will work also as a passport in the near future.

The state Minister for Minerals, Mr. Peter Lokeris Aimat speaking at the same function warned the officers responsible of giving out identity cards against demanding for money.
