FUFA President Moses Magogo petitioned High Court

FUFA President Moses Magogo has petitioned the High Court in Kampala seeking an injunction against the Registered Trustees of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations led by self-styled president Daniel Walusimbi.

Magogo wants Walusimbi and the disgruntled ex-footballers to be blocked from interfering with business at FUFA, holding out as managers of all FUFA assets.

Through Ochieng Associated Advocates and Solicitors Magogo says Walusimbi and his group should be ordered to keep 100 meters away from any known asset, property, any activity or scheduled program of FUFA, because their recent actions have greatly affected the preparation for the 2017 AFCON tournament in Gabon.

In his petition, Magogo claims that unless they are reprimanded and permanently restrained, the country risks dire sanctions from the world football governing body FIFA.

According to court documents, on 14th November Walusimbi mobilized other people and stormed the FUFA headquarters in Mengo claiming to be the office bearers and demanding that the President and other staff vacate the building on top of destroying property therein.
