Makerere University is making great strides in research and innovation.
The university has now moved to improve the electric vehicle Kiira EV launched in 2011.
The project’s principal investigator Prof Sandy Tickodri Togboa says the new improved Model Kiira EV SMACK has a four passenger capacity.
He reveals that unlike the initial Kiira EV that was designed a speed of only 80 Kms per hour, the new model has been fitted with an Internal combustion Engine and can move upto 500 Kms
