The NRM national Delegates conference is set to kick off at Namboole stadium this morning with over 10,000 delegates expected from across the country.
However, there are complaints by a section of the media that their names have been struck of the list. There will also concerns a short while back that the media would be blocked from covering the conference.
The Government has refuted the reports with the Government Spokesperson Ofwono Opondo saying over 100 Journalists have been accredited to cover the event.
Meanwhile, a combined force of both the police and the military is heavily deployed at the Jinja road roundabout near the ministry of internal affairs headquarters.
There is also heavy deployment around Nakawa market, Banda and Namboole.
