ID registration exercise
The Registration of persons for national Identity Cards(ID) ends today.
The ministry of internal affairs recently announced it had cut short the time from February 24th to 11th Jan 2015 resolving to start concentrating on processing and production of IDs for those who registered.
The ministry spokesperson Pamela Ankunda says those who have not registered up to today must ensure they do so before the end of the day.
She notes that without these IDs it will be difficult for one to access social services.
